This early example of a remarkable Heuer timer represents an important period in Heuer’s legacy. Since Edouard Heuer’s invention of the oscillating pinion, Heuer have made innumerable contributions to the stopwatch domain. This Micrograph was the world’s first stopwatch to be accurate to within 1/100th of a second. Patented in 1916, this model was an important piece in timing history, used from Olympic sprinting competitions to technical research. This incredible stopwatch marks a revolutionary point in both the legacies of Heuer and watchmaking alike.
