Now this is a very rare watch! circa 1945, in outstanding condition, complex dial which features the telephonic sections, in those days a foreign call would be charged every three minutes, so that is what the long strikes on the sub dial are for. Also in the centre is a telemetric scale, traditionally used to measure the distance of thunder storms, recording distance between lightening and thunder clap. However it could be used for judging distance on artillery, so given the date of the watch, it may have a military history. The movement is a legend, valjoux 23 with column wheel. A very rare watch which would compliment any collection.
