Quite a scarce watch from the late seventies/early eighties, a period when it was assumed the mechanical watch was out dated in a period we now refer to as “the quartz crisis” , thick chronographs were not fashionable as digital and quartz watches were coming to the market in thinner cases. Heuer also tried to exploit this market but it was a very difficult time for the whole Swiss industry, a small selection of electronic watches were produced, the charm of this Carrera is that the case shape remains true to the seventies chrono’s. These don’t turn up very often and the condition of this example is outstanding.
