In the mid-2000s, TAG Heuer took bold steps to admire their heritage and iconography, represented by this widely revered limited edition Monaco adorned with Steve McQueen’s racing colours. Boasting a fabulously iconic red, white and blue striped colour scheme, this edition pays tribute to timeless image of Steve McQueen fastening his Gulf-sponsored racing overalls during his role in the 1971 film Le Mans.

Appropriately, McQueen was famously wearing his Heuer Monaco 1133B on-screen, an image which epitomises Heuer’s rich history. This watch measures at 38mm in diameter and held within a stainless steel case. Powered by the Calibre 17 automatic movement, this highly popular model inspired the release of many more special edition Monacos. A fitting tribute to the racing heritage so tightly intertwined in Heuer’s DNA, this Steve McQueen limited edition Monaco is a fabulous collector’s item which celebrates the brand’s golden age.
