This version of the 1153 automatic Carrera is fast becoming one of the most dinstintive and sought after vintage Heuer timepieces on the market. This example boasts vivid blue dial with orange accents, seconds hand and segmented minute dial (allowing for legible 5-minute readings). Long overshadowed by first generation Carreras of the 1960s, the 1153 favours a boundary-pushing colour palette and complexity over the simplicity of previous models, inspired by an emerging dynamic decade.

Pay particular attention to the colour combination and the very elegant profile – it sits superbly on the wrist, while commanding a real presence due to its bold use of colour. This selfwinding 12-hour chronograph is in incredible condition for its age – it’s dial retaining an almost electric hue. A staple of any Heuer collection, this reference is considered a ‘must have’ for any collector. This example is in superb condition with sharp printing on the white tachy ring, strong even colouring of the dial and vivid orange colouring.
