Rarely encountered in this configuration, the silver dial Autavia 11630MH spoke a bold new design language upon its introduction in the late 1970s. Its silver dial is artfully offset by striking accents of orange, boasting a vibrant aesthetic typical of ’70s watchmaking. Considered Heuer’s utilitarian model, a workhorse of a timepiece, the Autavia boldy entered a new decade with a dramatic design alteration. The 11630MH represents the very best of Heuer’s innovations during this period, revered by many as one of the most iconic of all Heuer models. Commonly, the vibrant orange hands on these models are prone to fading through wear. However, the hands on this particular example boast a bright orange hue, showing almost no difference from its original appearance 50 years ago. Commanding a strong presence on the wrist, this all original Autavia comes complete with a customer calfskin black racing strap, with contrasting orange stitching.
