A superb and increasingly scarce example of the iconic early-1970s Autavia. This circa 1971 Heuer 1163 remains beautifully un-polished, retaining its original satin finish and the strong, sharp case lines so often lost to over-restoration.
Introduced at the dawn of the automatic chronograph era, the 1163 represents a pivotal moment in Heuer’s history. Its purposeful 42mm stainless steel case, bold dial layout and unmistakable motorsport DNA perfectly capture the spirit of the golden age of racing. Confident, masculine and effortlessly stylish, it remains as relevant today as it was trackside in the early seventies.
The honest, untouched condition of this example is what truly sets it apart — collectors will appreciate the preserved brushing, correct proportions and authentic vintage presence that only an original case can provide.
A classic and highly wearable vintage chronograph, equally at home with tailoring or weekend attire.
