Widely considered ‘the crowning jewell of Heuer collecting, the Heuer Autavia 2446 GMT First Execution is an extremely rare model produced in a narrow window in 1968. Quickly discontinued in favour of a larger case and compression back case, the First Execution 2446 Ref. measures at a 39mm diameter and is powered by the esteemed Valjoux 72 with an additional GMT module (Valjoux 724). This example was purchased from the original owner (U.K. based), and remains in excellent condition with beautiful naturally aged lume. The inscriptions on the screwback case remain legible and sharp, with minimal fading to the bright blue and red GMT bezel.

A hybrid of design codes – the First Execution Autavia 2446 GMT was a pioneering release for Heuer. The allure of a vintage GMT chrongraph, with a ‘reverse panda’ display, makes this model a perfect choice for the discerning vintage watch collector. The added rarity of this ‘Holy Grail’ example is its star attribute – only 9 examples are known to exist. This model is also accompanied by its original packaging (with the correct reference depicted). Its serial number is 100121.
