This version of the 1153 self-winding Carrera is fast becoming the most sought after of the range. For a long time it has been overshadowed by the early Carreras and Autavias; have a close look at the colour combination and the very elegant profile. It sits superbly on the wrist. Most notably it was favoured by Mick Jagger upon its release in the early seventies, adding to its cool and timeless image.

Synonymous with boundary-pushing design, the 1153 Carrera experiments with new shapes and a larger case than its predecessors, while remaining classically simple in its own right. This selfwinding 30-minute chronograph is in incredible condition for its age. Importantly, this example is presented on its original GF bracelet remaining in excellent condition with the Heuer logo stamped on the clasp. A staple of any Heuer collection, this reference is considered a ‘must have’ for any collector.

This example is in superb condition, sharp printing on the white tachy ring, strong even colouring of the dial and a bright orange seconds hand. For the keen collector, this example ticks all the boxes. It is presented in its original Heuer box alongside its Heuer booklet and bill of sale dated 1973. A true Heuer time capsule!
