In 1980, Heuer was appointed the official timer of the Moscow Olympic Games. Timers such as the Trackmaster were commissioned across all timed sporting events. Produced just five years before the takeover of Heuer by TAG in 1985, this ultra rare piece is one of the latest timers to be adorned with only the Heuer logo. This example is in new-old stock condition and is accompanied by its original box.

This incredible Trackmaster represents one of history’s most politically poignant Olympic Games. 65 countries and regions invited did not take part in the 1980 Olympics- many of these following the United States’ initial decision to boycott the games in protest of the 1979 Soviet-Afghan War. Certainly this Trackmaster is the perfect addition to any Heuer collection in need of some special provenance.
