Originally created to celebrate Niki Lauda’s championship victory in 1977, the Heuer Monza is a model graced with rich racing heritage and exceptional design. This version is the highly sought after chrome version, of which are difficult to source in such excellent condition due to the occurence of brassing which occurs on the majority of examples. The stainless-steel screw-back case is signed with the ‘Monza’ sign above the Heuer logo, with the reference and serial number printed beneath. Situated on the left side is the signed crown and corresponding on the right are two integrated chronograph pushers. This watch is powered by an automatic 12-hour chronograph movement. It has a width of 39mm (excluding crown), commanding a great presence on the wrist. The sharp contrasts of vibrant red and white accents with the deep black dial make this watch a favourite amongst collectors. Appropriately this Monza has been fitted to an original period rally tropic strap to complete such a refined look.
