Following a successful re-edition of the Monza model in the early 2000s, TAG Heuer committed to the rebirth of the beloved model by creating a new line of TAG Heuer Monza watches- a model neglected since the early 1980s. The CR2113 model would champion the Monza name for the first time in decades, stamped on the dial above the TAG Heuer logo. The references in this range comprised of different variations of case material and dial colourings, with the steel case and glossy black dial of this CR2113 reference the most signature of all.
A superb and affordable chronograph, the new Monza boasted an intriguing 37mm case housing a Calibre 17 movement. Presented on a black alligator strap with a TAG Heuer fold-clasp, this example comes alongside a TAG Heuer box and no papers. As the Monza evolved throughout the years, this reference remains poignant in being the first branded Monza to mark the revival of some of the brand’s most iconic designs over the ’60s and ’70s.
